Name: Shar
Age: Around 30-40
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Appearance: Shar is usually seen in a brown robe with his hood pulled over his face. His robe has strange markings up the sides. He usually has black gloves on and black regular old shoes. All that's really seeable from his face are his eyes and some of his brown hair which sticks out the top.
Personality: Quiet, he tries not to get into anyone's business and will only offer input if it's needed. He's quite knowledgeable however and will give assistance to anyone if asked. He could also be described as a badass if you catch him in battle.
Alignment: Good
Weapon of choice: Two guns that he keeps stored in his sleeves.
Magic: He knows some dark magic, but doesn't really like using it.
Hobbies: He likes to spar, but he mainly spends his free time at local inns.
History: Shar grew up in a monestary with several monks in the East, he was a doorstep baby and so he never knew his parents. He doesn't really mind though, the monks were very kind to him. One day, the other monks left to train for a week in the nearby mountains. He was left alone, and so he snuck into the head monks private collection of books. The head monk was quite a scholar, he studied nearly everything and so much knowledge stored was tempting to the young man. He happened upon a collection of magic books, a subject he had been warned against, but the allure of such a foreign subject was too strong for Shar. He picked one out, "Spells of darkness: destruction, resurrection, and immortality." Smiling, he grabbed the book and began learning. The entire week seemed to fly by as he traind himelf in the dark arts. As he learned, he got arrogant. He felt his entire life was leading up to this, and that the old fool monk was holding him back. When the monks returned, they found a very different man in place of Shar. He smiled as he began slaughtering them all. Finally, the head monk faced him in a duel atop the monestary. The battle was fierce, dark and light clashed in the night sky, some say you could feel the tension from the highest mountaintop that night. The battle ended, and Shar was left standing. He stood over the corpse and knelt down to weep in realization of what he had done, of what the power had done to him. The thought to resurrect them crossed his mind, but he knew he would not be able to face them again, and so he buried each monk, and gave a funeral for each. Then he took what was left of his old life, his cloak and a book of proverbs, and left the monestary. He vowed to never use his power for such deeds again, to only use them when absolutely neccasarry and only for good, and perhaps to find a way to forget it all.
